The Long Trek West

Yesterday held a lot of driving for us. Mainly in the great state of Illinois.

I have found that Illinois is not much different the whole way across route 74. It is very flat, it has lots of corn and soybeans and there are a lot of windmills.
Here is a picture of them:

Then we passed over Lake Peoria. It was very pretty and I also managed to get a picture of that.

The ride continued to go on and on and on until we passed over the Mississippi River. It sort of just looked like another river.

Then we crossed over into Iowa and we came to Iowa 80. The largest truck stop in the world. It was rather big and we pulled off to get a better look at it, but we didn't actually stop there because their were better gas prices at the station across the street.
We stood over there getting our gas and taking pictures of Iowa 80. Here are the two pictures I managed to get:

In case any of you are wondering there is also plenty of corn in Iowa and I have the feeling it isn't going to be all that much different than Illinois. We stopped not to far into the state and made the tacos that were supposed to be made yesterday, went for a nice swim in the campgrounds pool and then we all went to bed.
Today we are back in the car preparing for another fun day of riding. We are still heading towards the west!

Until Next Time,
