The Drive Through Yosemite

Yesterday, we got up and left early from the Kleiners. We drove for about an hour and than stopped at a Mobil station for breakfast. When we walked in it was actually very nice and there was a dining area and a store. Mr. Kleiner told us some people even had weddings there!
We ate in the car and continued on our way to Yosemite. When we got there, it was very crowded, so we didn't really get out except to have lunch in the camper and walk the dogs, but as we drove through it we got a glimpse of the giant rocks towering very far above our cars.

Flowers lined the road and trees and rocks filled the forests. We drove by a waterfall. It was gushing from the side of a huge rock mountain.

I can see why the park might have been such a tourist stop, but the crowds filled the parking spaces and so we didn't stop at the waterfall as planned. When we did finally find a parking spot big enough for the car and the camper it was no use walking all the way back to see the waterfall in heavy traffic.
We drove out of Yosemite and headed for the Sequoias. We had dinner at In and Out Burger.Of course Claire, Mom and Dad all had to try the burgers, but Jane and I choose different options from the menu.
We stopped about 15 to 30 minutes away from the Sequoia National Park and stayed at a campground. We went into the pool and all enjoyed a nice swim in cool water. Finally, for once on this whole trip the water wasn't freezing. It wasn't boiling either and it was nice to sink away from the heat into the water.
We called it a night and went to bed.

Until Next Time,
    Katherine Rose
