This post was posted a day later than anticipated and was originally written for Saturday, so sorry about that :/
I woke up at 6:30! Don't worry. I went back to sleep. Then Mom and Claire got up and I heard them getting ready for a run on the beach. I considered getting up for a second or two then I decided I would rather sleep.
Later, at a more suitable hour I got up and had breakfast. Then we prepared the camper and took the car out for a little sight seeing, before we had to check out at one o'clock.
We went to the beach and learned about the Oregon shipwreck, here is a picture:
After that we went down and saw the bay and also climbed up a look out and gazed down at the jetty. Then we went to Steven's Fort and explored a little bit. Jane especially liked all the dark, musty rooms that kind of reminded me of a basement.
Here is the memorial plaque put in place near the fort:
We went back, retrieved the camper and pulled out. We set out with plans of having lunch on the beach, which we did halfway accomplish as we had lunch in the camper with a gorgeous overlook of the beach.
We pulled out again shortly after and began our long drive south down the border of the pacific ocean.
We stopped relatively early at a nice campsite and Claire and I went in the pool. Then I sat next to the pool as Jane took a dip.
We had tacos for dinner and went to bed.
Until Next Time,
Katherine Rose
