We went out and spent our day in the town. We visited an indoor Archery Range and that was cool. I got to shoot a bow and on my first try I hit the bull's-eye. I was totally pumped and so I did it again and again and I am sad to say I got progressively worse. Very depressing stuff. I didn't hit the bull's-eye again at all for the rest of the afternoon.
Then we went to my Great Aunt's art studio (Aunt S.) and we got to paint. I had so much fun! I painted a picture entitled, 'the girl in the field' that I had been planning for a very long time. It felt nice to finally paint it.
We spent a long time there messing with paints and supplies it was a great way to spend the afternoon. Jane painted two abstract pictures and a picture of two hearts. Claire painted a lot of swirls with different colors and accents and it came out really nicely. Mom painted a picture of a swimmer doing the butterfly, it was sort of abstract I think, but Dad guessed the image as soon as we showed it to him.
After the art studio we went to an art gallery and looked at sculpted dresses. They were very interesting, we had Claire pose behind them and pretend she was wearing them.
When we got back we crashed for bit. As I was moving across Jane's couch bed my knee went between the cushions and happened to find the metal pole that helped support the couch.
"Ow!" I complained. "Your bed is very uncomfortable."
"No." Jane frowned. "It's very comfortable." She likes her couch bed, but I can't really tell you why I'm just glad I don't have to sleep in it.
"I just hit my knee off a metal pole in your bed." I explained.
"I don't have a metal pole." Jane argued. Then she stopped and said. "Or at least I didn't bring one with me."
I thought that was kind of funny so I thought I would share it.
After we had a sufficient amount of break time we went up to the house for supper and played the one student violin we brought. The fireflies came out along with all the bugs. I must have tasted very delicious last night because I accumulated plenty of bites. I also held Jake.
We climbed back into the camper and fell asleep and our day closed.
Until Next Time,
Katherine Rose
Meredith, please tell me you took some photos of Robbie "modeling" those dresses? :-) Good post! The pictures are so pretty!
